Making a Good Impression

When selling your home there are numerous things to think of. One important thing to consider is what kind of impression does your home make when someone enters it? No one is saying it can’t look like you still live in the home you are trying to sell, it just shouldn’t look like you aren’t going to move anytime soon. Here are a few things to keep in mind when selling your home.

First, try to limit the amount of personal affects you display such as kid’s artwork, family photos, and such. When others come to look at your home they should be able to see themselves in the space and not feel like they are taking that space away from little Johnny or Jane.  

Next, have a pet? Make sure any toys, treats, etc. are put up and not scattered throughout the home.

Also, try to limit any clutter that would make accessing or looking at a room difficult such as the treadmill in the guest room. Put away items such as plungers, toilet brushes, or things that would not appeal to the buyer.

Just remember, your short term inconvenience will make a long term impression!
