Mecklenburg County, VA

The rolling hills of the Piedmont relax into the Tidewater through a beautiful, mostly undiscovered area of Southern Virginia, which Mecklenburg County lies right in the heart of. Tobacco farms operating since before the civil war, the largest lake in the state, and quaint farming communities like South Hill, Boydton and Chase City dot the countryside, welcoming lovers of history, unique flavors, wine, outdoor recreation, and a generally slower pace of life. Serene sunrises and romantic sunsets punctuate most of the long spring and summer days here, and are especially beautiful in Clarksville, Virginia's only lakeside town.
